Duty of the Upazila Agriculture Office:

Assessment of farmers' demand for information

Creating a standardized extension program.

→ To create training materials for farmers and technical staff.

Report to other affiliates or district experts through TACC about problems that the DAE cannot solve at block level.

Protecting affiliation with farmers' associations and other organizations at the upazila level, including suppliers of agricultural commodities, marketers of agricultural products.

To advise the Deputy Assistant Agriculture Officers on crop diversification, extension methods, supply of materials and loans and transfer of technology among the farmers.

→ To assist the Assistant Agricultural Officers at various field level events (eg farming rallies, field days, tours).

Planning and implementation of upazila level extension activities (eg agricultural fair, farmer training).

Coordinate relationships and work with other extension service providers through TACC.

Conduct and conduct upazila planning workshops.

To meet the training needs of staff and take necessary steps.

Planning and organizing a weekly upazila training day.

→ Ensure monitoring of the activities of Deputy Assistant Agricultural Officers through the annual program management review meetings and field visits.

→ Management and coordination of seams and caps at the upazila level.

Ensure the participation of at least one senior officer in DEPC and other meetings.

Budget management and timely accountability of the upazila.

Collecting emergency emergency information from Deputy Assistant Agricultural Officers and other information in appropriate form to the district, region or headquarters.
